I had contacted the office in charge of the various sports fields in Moorestown, NJ. I never spoke personally with the director of these fields but my request was relayed to the director and her response was relayed back to me. The intermediary said she was told to tell me that under no circumstances is anyone allowed to metal detect in these Moorestown fields. Have you had any issues like this? Please let me know. I suspect that she simply believes that I will leave holes all over the place.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Moorestown is very strict. I guess they have had bad experiences with people leaving holes. I had to get special permission when I was looking for someone’s ring. I was not allowed on the fields. The ring was never recovered.
